Boss Mick McCarthy is delighted to have assembled his squad by the end of July, ahead of the start of the season at Reading next Saturday and well in advance of the end of the transfer window on Monday 2nd September. Speaking last week, the Town manager said he was after one more player and on Friday added Manchester United midfielder Ryan Tunnicliffe to his squad on loan, his 10th addition of the summer. |

Town have confirmed that striker Paul Taylor has been included in the squad for tonight’s pre-season friendly at Colchester United (KO 7.45pm), as revealed by TWTD at the weekend. The 25-year-old has been out of action since September when he suffered a serious foot injury in only his third game after making a £1.5 million move from Peterborough United the previous month. |

Boss Mick McCarthy says new Town signing Christophe Berra was worth every penny of the £2 million he paid Hearts to take him to Wolves in 2009. Berra’s Bosman move to the Blues was confirmed over the weekend, the Scottish international having put pen to paper on a two-year deal following his release by the Midlanders at the end of last season. |
